The Tumbler Ridge Community Arts Council will be holding its Annual General Meeting on Thursday June 12, 2025 at 6 pm in Room 3 of the Community Centre. Join renowned wildlife and landscape photographer and Canadian Geographic Photographer of the Year, Brandon Broderick, in a special workshop on wildlife photography, held right here in Tumbler Ridge BC. The new Dawson Creek & District Hospital (DCDH) began construction in 2023, and is well on the way to opening in the Spring of 2027. The DCDH is calling for artist and photographer submissions of regional scenery photographs which will be turned into custom wall graphics for various locations inside the new building.Submissions will be accepted from May 20 until Friday June 20 at 4 pm. Each year, Arts North East (formerly the Peace Liard Regional Arts Council) holds the Open Sky juried art exhibit which is hosted by various member communities in the BC Peace Region. For 2025, the exhibit will be hosted in Dawson Creek at the Dawson Creek Art Gallery. The registration cutoff date is Monday May 26, 2025 Wednesday May 28, 2025 — extended!
