The family and friends of Kylie Smith have announced the launch of the Kylie Smith Art Foundation to honour her memory as a gifted artist by helping future artists access scholarships or grants to further their studies in the arts.

Our Mission:
To fund and encourage young artists from northern British Columbia by awarding an annual arts grant to a graduating student from Northern BC pursuing post-secondary education or a career in the arts — and to keep Kylie's name attached to creativity, not to violence.
Currently, the foundation is seeking community and corporate support in order to build up the scholarship fund. Details on how you can contribute, and for students to apply beginning in 2027, are available directly on the foundation website.
Note that the Tumbler Ridge Community Arts Council is not directly involved in the foundation. We recommend any questions be directed to the foundation via their website contact details.
