Musical Guests John Hewitt & The New Americans

Musical Guests John Hewitt & The New Americans

On Thursday, October 1, we were fortunate to host the very talented John Hewitt & The New Americans. The Tumbler Ridge Geopark Visitor Info Centre was our venue, with the upstairs gallery space cleared to make room for musicians and patrons.

Just after the sun had set, the band took the floor and our evening got underway. Our guests did not disappoint — it wasn't long before folks were swaying or toe-tapping along to the music. John, Ben, and Connor had us chuckling and outright laughing at the banter between songs.

We also took a moment to wish bassist Connor a happy birthday, and it was a sweet moment of feeling like the room was filled with friends who had known each other for years.

Ranging from ballads to some foot-stomping beats, a couple of cover songs and a lot of originals, there was a little something for everyone who joined us that evening. And our youngest attendee, 10-year-old Mx. Odeda said "I'd give them 10 thumbs up, but I only have two!"

Thank you to the Geopark for the venue space, all our patrons, and of course, our musical guests for an entertaining evening.
