About the TRCAC

The Tumbler Ridge Community Arts Council (TRCAC or Arts Council) was first established in 1984 by some of the earliest residents of the community of Tumbler Ridge, not long after the town was incorporated. Through the years, as the community ebbed and flowed with the coal industry, various volunteers have taken up the mantle to ensure that arts and culture were supported and flourished.

In 2026, after a year of transition and unexpected loss, the Arts Council adopted new Mission, Vision, and Values statements to better reflect the group's purpose and direction.

Our Community: We serve the community of Tumbler Ridge, including multi-generational and multi-cultural audiences, our individual and group members, and the South Peace Region.

Our Identity: TRCAC is a volunteer-run umbrella organization that champions arts and culture in all traditional and non-traditional forms—visual arts, performance, music, and creative expression.

Our Role: We are a welcoming hub where creativity thrives and residents of all ages and backgrounds find joy, inspiration, connection, and fulfillment through engagement with arts and cultural activities.

Mission

The Tumbler Ridge Community Arts Council connects our community through arts and culture to inspire creativity, collaboration, and well-being.
